I am slightly grumpy all the time at the moment, or so it feels. Struggling to engage properly at social events and often a little short with my lovely DC when they chatter incessantly. Went to a social occasion last night with a bunch of couples I've known a while, and just shied away from all the selfies/ banter/fun (we are all in our 40's) I feel like I'm just not interesting or fun enough so ended up driving so I could get home and escape at a decent hour. Self esteem seems to be on the floor... any decent recommendations of either diet/self help books or anything that might help? Apologies for rambling on...Confused

Hi, theres a good book by Susan Jeffers called Dare to Connect, that I found useful from a social anxiety and confidence point of view. Exercise can be helpful too as it releases the bodys natural antidepressants. If you are struggling to get out of this rut it might also be worth going to see your GP.
