Look after yourselfFlowers

reni2 · 24/11/2015 01:17

I'd like fuzzy slipper boots, too. Cold feet, I wouldn't mindmind the pink or the hearts right now.

OddSocksHighHeels · 24/11/2015 01:17

It will be fine to eat. Enjoy your cake mix Flowers

reni2 · 24/11/2015 01:17

Yes, eat.

MistressMerryWeather · 24/11/2015 01:19

Just keep an eye on how you feel.

If you are hungry do you like buttery toast?

Themonopolydog · 24/11/2015 01:19

Definitely eat something.
I'm so happy you're back at home. Have BrewCakeChocolateFlowers and look after yourself.

Yambabe · 24/11/2015 01:20

I like the sound of your fuzzy slipper boots Smile

Have you relocated to the sofa? If so I would recommend you take the spiffing duvet with you cos I dunno about where you are but despite the rain it's bloody freezing here!

MistressMerryWeather · 24/11/2015 01:23

Toast may be better for your tummy than cake mix.

Absorbent!

TesticleOfObjectivity · 24/11/2015 01:24

I'm glad you're back safe Joffrey.

Cake mix sounds like my kind of meal. I decided to bake chocolate chip cookies earlier, just before I went to bed (am in bed now). Followed a recipe but without weighing anything. When I took them out the oven, the previously individual biscuits had all melted into one giant sploge on the baking tray. I scraped some off (about three biscuit's worth I think) stuck it in a bowl with vanilla ice cream and presto. It was like cookie crumble ice cream. Delicious. I feel a bit sick now though...

Hope you've got something good to watch. I'm watching The Thick of It.

shadowfax07 · 24/11/2015 01:41

Glad you're safe, Joff.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/11/2015 01:45

glad to hear you are safe. please monitor yourself through the night and go to the hospital if you take a downturn. Stay with us here and talk about anything, just stay. Thanks

Catzpyjamas · 24/11/2015 08:03

I'm really glad to see you posted again later on last night. Hope you feel a bit stronger this morning.
Chocolate sorry it's Cadburys but it's all they had...

TheoriginalLEM · 24/11/2015 08:29

So pleased to read your later posts!

I see you are on propanalol - is that what they have given you for the anxiety??

Maybe it is worth getting an anti-depressant if you feel you are having a blip? or ask for some diazepam for emergencies.

I know this sounds trite but i find that cammomile tea helps me when i can't control my anxiety. It tastes like sick but in the absence of anything else it really does work. I think you can get it with spiced apple and other flavours to make it less offensive.

Keep safe and well. Any pain in your tummy please please please get thee to A&E as paracetemol overdose can often take up to 72 hours to show itself xxxx

KingJoffreyLikesJaffaCakes · 24/11/2015 08:50

I have Fluoxetine for depression and yes, the Propanolol for anxiety.

No weird symptoms.

Didn't sleep last night but that may have been the four cups of tea.

I have M&Ms and some comedy. Taking it easy today.

Glad to hear you are you got through the night
Do you have someone to talk to about what is going on atm? It is always nice to have a stash of numbers to be able to call if there is a problem.
Hope today is better

RebeccaMumsnet · 24/11/2015 09:03

Morning KingJoffrey (great name BTW),

We're sorry to read that things aren't going great for you atm, but we are glad that you are safe and warm and have some M&Ms and comedy to watch.

We hope you don't mind, but when threads like these are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources - here. You can also go to the Samaritans' website here, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well, which we are sure you know but we wanted to make sure anyone else reading was aware too.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

We are going to move this thread to the Mental Health section shortly, we hope that's ok OP.

Much love, best wishes Cake Brew

Pipestheghost · 24/11/2015 09:13

Relieved to see you're safe at home, I really hope you feel better soon, take care Flowers

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 24/11/2015 10:05

Take it easy joff Flowers

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 24/11/2015 10:21

Duvet envy here too.

Mine has retro camper vans on. But I had to get up and get dd to nursery and physio. So I'm out in the rain.

Eat some crisps to balance the sugar in the cake mix. Ds says you can share his smokey bacon ones.
