I'm on sertraline and the doctor has also prescribed lorazepam for a little while.

What do I need to know? What are your experiences of using it?

Im really anxious about taking it as I don't know what to expect?

I just don't want to feel like this anymore Sad

Lorazepam will make you feel very calm and its a good short term help while you're waiting for the full effects of the ADs to kick in.

It may feel strange the first time you take it, especially since your anxiety is high, but it should help.

If I take 1mg, after about half an hour or so, I start to feel slightly warmer and my muscles feel more relaxed and comfortable. Some anxiety symptoms get a bit better sometimes and I can feel a bit dopey and sleepy, especially if it's close to bedtime. Most of the effects feel like they've worn off after a few hours.

I've been taking this for sleep at bedtime. 1mg but now reduced to 0.5mg. It's been amazing for me. I've got some restful sleep for the first time in months and along with starting AD's feel like I'm on a path to recovery now.
