How long would it take an increase in meds to have an impact?

I am currently on a low dose of Citalopram (10mg) but am really struggling at the moment. I am thinking of asking my GP to increase my dosage but how long would it take for that to have an impact on how I feel? Thanks

3-4 weeks in my experience.

Sorry to hear you're struggling I've not taken citalapram but have been on lots of others and at least 2 weeks is the minimum. Is your GP referring you for talking therapies too?
