Started sertraline 50mg before Xmas. Just started my second month and I've had a massive crash after a busy and bad day at work.

Should I go back to gp before the next review? I think I might need a bigger dose but what do I know !!

She, dont worry this happens sometimes when you get especially stressed. Be kind to yourself, get some food in and do something realaxing. When you get the chance, mention it to the gp, but it may just be a blip.Smile Remember if you get really low there is out of hours gp or a and e. But you may feel better tomorrow.

Could it just be as you said a reaction to a busy and bad work day. Sometimes it is easy to blame meds or MH for things that are normal if you see what I mean; people have bad days at work and it affects them. The difference is if it lasts. If it lasts then gp's can help as it is a MH issue. If it is a bad day of work what can you do to help relax and switch off from it? But other people may have different views, this is just my experience.

Dr's have different policies on how long they want people to try a set dose. If you think it is not working then a gp is the person to talk to. But be worth telling the, about the day at work and what caused it, low mood caused it or work stress. If work is causing issues then worth talking to dr about that in case a fit note is needed so work are aware and can make relevant adaptations if gp asks them to.

I hope things improve for you.

Thank you for your kind responses

I will see how it goes tomorrow and this weekend goes then. I was a bit freaked out by immediately feeling like I had done for so long before the meds.
