sertraline and loss of libido?

Hello

Have been prescribed Sertraline.
Reading up online, sexual disfunction seems quite common.

Also long term sexual disfunction? Seems like a very high price to pay?

Have you taken this and experienced these symptoms?

I would hate for this to happen and imagine it would have an impact on my marriage.

I have been taking for 2 days and feel quite spaced out.

Thanks

You will feel weird for 2-3 weeks whilst the chemicals settle down. Me libido has increased since taking it (for over 3 years) so I would take all the side effects with a pinch of salt.

It feels like being on drugs.I will try and to 3 weeks but hope symptoms get weaker as it is quite hard to handle.

My psychiatrist always starts me on 1/2 the dose for the first 2 weeks. This lessens any side effects. I can't compare if loss of libido as I have none if I'm off medication as well as on. The older tricyclics are better but are not commonly used but are still prescribed.
