got off them but ended up going on them again some where down the line?
does anyone take them for a spell and then never need them again?

i suppose what i'm getting at is that maybe they aren't a cure but a mask.

obviously if the depression is really bad then it's best to take them but for me, i have taken them before and i think i just have an anxious/depressive personality so unless i took then for life i'd end up just the same in the long run

and theres also a part of me that wonders if taking them actually causes you to need them in the future.

I was on them for 2 years

I thought it was me and that I would always need them

But I had two years of psychotherapy and never needed them again - it's been 10 years now and I haven't had any major relapses

So there is hope

I took them for a period of time (few months I think) in my late teens and have never taken them since. I am still prone to anxiety and stress, have some panic attacks, and I've had another bout of depression a couple of years ago but didn't get treatment.

I've been on them for 7 years and only now in the last 2 weeks feel that I am actually getting the other help to go along with them to really get myself together

I was on them for a while (a few months I think) but cam eoff them as I felt they weren't helping (which in my case they weren't) I have never been back on them in the last 6 years.
