i don't know what to do. my mind will not focus on anything, i've been crying since sunday, just don't want to be here anymore, please help

Last night was one of the worse of my life. I went to the hospital, was checked over (medically) and sent home. I then saw my GP earlier today who refused to give me anything but said someone from the Mental health team would be in touch. Needless to say they haven't.
The only reason I am able to coherently write this now is because I've got some tablets from a friend that have helped me to calm down.
I feel exhausted, tried to get help and failed dismally and feel at rock bottom.

How are you feeling now hope?

I have no real experience of MH issues, just stumbled across this thread and noticed you posted last early this morning. I'm bumping the thread for you so someone with advice will pick it up.

Hope, I feel like you've been let down :( I don't know anything about the "system" and how it works but I know when I went to the GP and told him how I was feeling he helped me, there and then. I am gutted for you that yours didn't.

Well done for going to the hospital and the GP and I'm sorry that they didn't do more. I hope the MH team have been in touch now and really sort you out.

Well done so much for doing what you did, I can't believe no one helped you!! Your friend sounds like they are there for you, that's really good. I would go and see a different doctor, I have done that a couple of times for various reasons, and the second time I seem to get a better doctor and they a quite embarrassed with how the first appointment went... I hope you still feel calmish and can manage till tomorrow when hopefully you can see another doc. Xxxxx

Someone finally phoned me yesterday afternoon and said they will get back to me today. I feel like I've done everything I can.

Oh good, make sure they really listen to you and you say everything out that you want. That is great news, you have done really well to take these steps when you a feeling so awful. I hope they help you to feel better, anxiety is as far as my experience goes but it crippled me for years until I worked out what was causing it, it is such a terrible feeling though and I feel for you. Can you let us know how it goes? Hug.
