Diagnosed with depression before Xmas and am off to my first Therapy session today at 3pm

I really don't know what to expect, the doc had to up my meds to 40mg last week as I was supposed to go to a study day and when I thought of the 100 or so people that I would have to meet and interact with I started shaking and just couldn't leave the house. I am so lucky that my employer has a scheme which allows us 6 face to face sessions

You are probably on your way now :) It is weird having therapy but by and large I have found it to be a good weird! Lots of luck.

Thanks blighty, I did wonder whether I would actually like her but we shall soon see, part of the problem I anticipate is actually getting to another therapist if I don't like this one as I don't drive. I was told there are 4 in my postal code but it is a very large area. I hope this one is good and I like her as she is only about half a mile from me. Fingers crossed

how do you cope with your depression if you don't mind me asking ?

My session, I felt went well and it was good to offload. There are lots of things that have happened in my past which I think have contributed to how I am feeling now, mainly a physically abusive ExP.
I am using AD's and the therapy too. Mind you this sunshine is certainly helping
