You could always ring up CRUSE they are good on these issues.

However the main national number is notoriously hard to get through on perhaps there is a local CRUSE office where you live try looking it up online?

They have counsellors and also local support groups sometimes.

Hopefully the GP will put you on the right track too so good luck!

prozacneeded - hi - you have made the most important first step in recognising your symptoms and arranging to visit your GP. Just remember that you will feel better soon, however dark life feels at the moment. Take things one step at a time.

My dh suffers from depression and for him exercise is always a help - you could try this - it doesn't have to be a workout in the gym just a long walk or a swim or a go on Justdance on the Wii.

Also, try and get some counselling not just some antidepressants as it is really good to have someone independant to talk to.

MNet is lways here as well!
