Symtoms of anxiety / stress

Hi there, I had a little bit of a stressful day yesterday (taking DS3 to A&E after a bump on the head, although he was completely fine and I knew that only ten minutes after we had set off so handled the whole thing really well) and DH is away this week with work. Today I have been feeling really weird: a bit fluey, shakey, cold, going to the loo more than the usual amount of times, and on higher alert than normal, and I wonder if this is a reaction to yesterday. I don't think I am 'ill' as in real flu. I used to feel like this quite frequently as a child and was always told it was anxiety (used to get after parents split up and if mum was away and older brother and sister were looking after me, or if I got into trouble, or if stressed at school). I'm just curious because I don't feel 'anxious' in my belly, which I do get sometimes. Any reassurance would be welcome :)

Hi BBL. it could be a genuine low level virus. Anxiety is hOrrible as it sort of feeds itself doesn't it? Congratulate yourself on handling A&E well and be kind to yourself. Have an early night.

I'm really not sure what it is, it could be a low-level virus and the worry about being ill while DH is away makes me anxious too (one of my biggest fears as I have a fear of being sick as well as other worries), so the anxiety could be part of that too and making me feel worse, as well as what happened yesterday. I've just had a bath, which was lovely, while DS3 gave me toys to play with in the bath, he's so sweet. I'm going to have a 'duvet' evening when they are all in bed, get the duvet down and just watch TV (something I never do: I'm either painting or catching up on work most evenings) and hopefully get a good night's sleep. I hope I feel better tomorrow. DH back on Friday, and I am sure I will feel better then!
