Cruelty to autistic children including the banned practice of packing

It would be good to have as many people as possible understanding this issue and lobbying.

Autistic children are being subjected to packing (wrapping them in cold wet towels!) alongside such outdated practices as blaming mothers - the stance taken by some psychoanalysts being that mothers are so upset at being born without a penis, they "make" their children autistic.

The film "Le Mur" is truly shocking and very frightening. These autistic children and their parents are being subjected to treatment that has been banned elsewhere in Europe.

I am an advocate in the Eating Disorders world but this has shocked me so much.

Whether autism is a mental health issue is debatable - I consider it a disability.

furthermore this board is for people supporting each other, not for campaiging as such

besides we have enough battles to fight here to get our own care up to scratch let alone tell the French how to do things.
