Citalopram, strange effect and personality transplant

Since starting Citalopram last year I have become progressively more assertive. I used to be too scared to speak my mind, but now I just don't give a stuff

I have had an argument with an awkward neighbour, and left him speechless
Have asked for a couple of changes to my work shedule and got them
Stood up to about three people who were pissing me and left them speechless too
Can ask for anything I need in shops etc. without feeling uncomfortable or scared
Generally don't feel worried about being assertive and putting my own needs first, for once.

Good innit ! I have been on sertraline for about a year now and I don't feel scared anymore, just normal - heaven !

maybe its just finding a medication that works has increased your confidence which is usually low due to depression. Seems your finding a new you. Good on you!

Good for you ilovemyhens im the same, wouldnt say boo to a goose before because i had lost all my confidence and people were taking advantage, since i started taking mirtazapine ive gradually got my confidence back and dont take any crap from anyone.
