I have about 2 stone to lose.

I find normal diets don't work as the more I eat the more hungry I am so fasting seems a good idea. I am going to try and do 2 days a week, anyone else?

Although I've got an interview today at 11 and I feel it would be sensible to eat before this. I've just had a cup of tea with no milk in to prove my commitment.

I reached for the granola & then remembered I'm starting today!
Instead I had eggs scrambled in butter with some ham & a couple of slices of emmental.
I'm planning on doing a simplified version of the fast 800 and blood sugar diets, initially without a lengthy fast. So 3 meals a day loosely using the recipes but following the rules.

Can I join the gang? I plucked up the courage to weigh myself this morning, after a depressing trip to Bravissimo yesterday. I am 24lbs heavier than I weighed in January - oops.
I’m going to try 16:8 this week.

I've made a version of the tomato, ham & lentil soup (without ham & added chickpeas) for lunch and there's enough for 3/4 days.
I'm the same, once I start eating it usually triggers my hunger but it's true that protein helps as I wasn't actually particularly hungry before 2pm today.

i've had 1 egg and some fish sticks, not really hungry either yet, the evening is when I go mad! I do have soup in the fridge so might have that as a mid afternoon snack.

I still dare not weigh myself!

Can I join you? I’m doing intermittent fasting, 16/8 or thereabouts but basically 1 or 2 meals a day 5 days a week and longer eating windows on the other 2. Kind of a mixture of 2:5 and 16/8! 😆

Are you all “clean” fasting just water and black tea/coffee or splashes of milk etc?

Morning all.
Yesterday was all-in-all a "good" day. My evening meal was chicken shawarma with tzatziki, spinach & tomatoes. Then some Greek yogurt with raspberries.
I know my portions aren't small enough meaning I'm eating more than 800 cals but this is the first day in a long time that I haven't had any biscuits, crisps, cake, sweets, bread, potatoes, rice, cereal, chocolate, ice cream.....
I have a delivery today and a meal plan I made last night so the rest of the week my portions will be smaller (ie following the recipes).
Today's target - drink more water.
How's everyone doing?

Well another ok day.
B scrambled egg mushrooms & spinach
L Greek salad
D leftover red pepper & lentil soup
I've drunk more water than yesterday, but could do better
I'm craving something sweet quite often so I've bought some dark chocolate in case of emergencies.
Got a long trip tomorrow so will prepare a packed lunch & try to resist the cake that I'm certain will be offered a million times 😩

Hello all,

I'd like to join in please, I've got at least 20 pounds to lose, and whole wardrobes of clothes that don't fit, but which I can't bring myself to get rid of.
I used to be a calorie queen, but now when I log and count calories, I start to overeat! It's not sustainable for me now, in my 50s.
I've downloaded a very simple fasting app, it's just a timer really. And I've started this evening, while watching Bake Off 🍰! Next food, 10.45 tomorrow morning.

Done my first fast day 🥳 it wasn't too bad but I seem to remember from last time as you get a bit hungrier it does feel more challenging!

Hi I will join you. Have done my first day today and very glad it’s nearly over. Just had one meal of the day which was 1 tin of mushroom soup, then 2 vegetarian sausages in one slice of whole meal bread. Have had 3 mugs of tea with milk and will finish the day off with another brew. 477 calories that will do nicely. Going to do a back to back and do tomorrow as well as no hope at the weekend and have family arriving on Friday so will eat normally then.

Hello again, my first 16 hours whizzed by, no problem. I might try 18:6 tomorrow.
@Midnightstar76 I'd like to try one meal a day, but I do feel the pressure to eat normally, with dh being here. Social pressure I guess. Good luck tomorrow.

I'm impressed with the long fasts! I had a later breakfast so mine was 16hours.
B boiled eggs, ham, emmental
L leftover lentil soup, tomatoes & cucumber on the side
S strawberries & blueberries
D will be feta salad
I resisted the offer of cake today, which quite frankly is a miracle.
