Kicking off the annual 2027 thread for NYMT / BYMT in readiness for the big season reveal tomorrow!!

What do we think..?

Theres a lot of guessing on the teasers. But excited to see if any of the guesses are right.

If our guesses are right it’s going to be an epic season!!

Think my daughter guessed pippin, guys n dolls and newsies. Possible flash dance for the 3rd one 😂. Probably all wrong.

We agree with you except Made in Dagenham instead of Flash Dance. I will confess to cheating by asking ChatGPT 🤣

We have never heard of made in daghenham so need to check that out. Will be my daughters first year auditioning for nymt (she did BYMT last summer and first year for that too).

Can anyone remember when the audition dates are usually announced? We're waiting to see if they keep the same format as last year and provide under 16s with a list of songs to choose from

So exciting once again! Thanks for setting this up, @doesanybodyhaveamap . Based on his guesses, DS has decided to audition again because he loves all of them, so we’re avidly awaiting the confirmation tomorrow.

in relation to audition dates, @seventwelve25 I seem to think they usually announce them around the same time as the shows. Not sure if I imagined it, but I think I remember seeing something that said they were starting auditions earlier this year, maybe before Christmas? Maybe that will be confirmed tomorrow too

I shouldn't really be here, as DS has graduated out of NYMT, but if you don't mind I will hang around and interject if I have anything useful to add. Will be following the updates on here, and your offspring's progress, with keen interest. Break a leg to them all.

Just found out this week that my DD is getting braces in a few weeks (waiting until she finishes another show first!) - does having braces exclude or diminsh chances for a show?

I would say not at all. I do remember worrying about that but honestly, so many teens have braces at some point. I would say maybe don't book an audition within a few days of having a brace fitted, but otherwise that would not be an issue.

I agree-DS has definitely been in shows with at least one person (a girl) who had braces

Exciting confirmation of the shows! I just hope they don’t sell out before we get to know casting since the tickets are released so early 😬. Much as I wish we could go to watch everything, our budget definitely won’t stretch that far so we’ll have to wait to book!
