C&W are known for bulllying clubs out of pool time too!!

This doesn’t surprise me. They have a handful of really nice coaches but, on the whole, I find the club awful. My daughter has lessons at the same time as some of the squads train and some of the coaches are genuinely unpleasant.

Ds is up in Edinburgh. Had a horrendous outing yesterday for his 100m free yesterday. It's hot and miss at the best if times but a successful miss yesterday 🫣😂
100m back this morning and did a small on which considering he doesn't train it and his neuro condition means he's losing all the bits he needs to work for a backstroke was a huge success 🥳

Made final (wasn't expected to and in 8th due to a Dq and poor swims by others) but pulled because he has 50/400m tomorrow (his main events) and the relay.

Good luck to him in Edinburgh.

Don't think we have anything else now until summer nationals so making the most of it! He actually got a PB on the 100m free last weekend which was surprising as it's the 100m and he'd been at the pool for about 8 hours by the time he swam it. That combination is usually a recipe for disaster!

That's great he got a pb. Hopefully a metal positive heading into summers after having to adjust training so much during exams. 🥳

Regional OW went ok for DS no national qualifying place this year but a county medal despite having the worst start imaginable.

Down to the South Coast for a 2hr qualifying sea swim tomorrow he is allowed to do his Solent Swim in September.

We have OW here tomorrow. But it's inland about 60 miles from us. Dad been up there today setting up and then up to stansted after tomorrow to collect ds Monday morning.

Lakes measuring 18/19° here currently so non wetsuit regional's down south. Sea temp is usually fairly similar.

So got home from work to a VERY tired ds 😂

He had a fab time though and has managed to add another National title to his collection in 50m free! Came second in 400m free which considering he feel asleep whilst waiting in call room is pretty impressive 🤦‍♀️😂

I saw the 400m free, wasn't sure if it was good for him or not. Guess he was nicely relaxed before it!!

About 5 seconds outside his pb - so not terrible but he'd have liked to go faster. I think he'd have been happy with half a second to win the gold 😂🤷‍♀️

How come it's Summer and yet I'm leaving home in the pissing rain and it's dark again in the mornings 😂😂😂

We will be in Sheffield in 2 weeks time for ds first race - how does it come around so quickly each year?!

I've not quite got to dark mornings yet but it's definitely nowhere near as light. Rain doesn't help though. I'm not up I. Sheffield until the relay on the Weds then I'm there for another couple of days before returning for the next week.

We go on the Monday - racing Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Sunrise here is at 5am. We get to the pool at 4.50/55am for 5am start.

So that's it now until next year for light mornings 😂

Although I'm glad it gets light whilst we are there still. In winter it's never light for any trip 😫

Ds had 2 certificates arrive in post today form para euros with placing and race on - signed as well.

That was a nice surprise - and he wants to frame them 😂😂 so now I need to find A4 frames that sit sideways. Anyone got any suggestions of any they've used?

Yes, Ikea for frames. If you can't find anything he likes, do you have a local gallery that could frame them? We had a music certificate framed locally to us.
