ABRSM - no results for exams done

I have seen there's a thread about the exams that have now been cancelled.

This is about not getting results back for exams that were already done before the cancellation date.

Are the ABRSM not going to let people know their results?

They say on their website that results should be published within a week; however, it'll be 3 weeks on Monday for us.

DD did her exam early March and got the result yesterday. Big relief as she knew she'd messed up one of the pieces, but it means they're still sending out results.
Hope you get them soon.

I am a music teacher and have done Trinity exams with my pupils for many years. At the end of the session the examiner leaves the results with the exam rep so we know almost immediately. This time l had one pupil take an exam on the very last day before exams were stopped. The exam rep emailed me the result (good and the mark l expected) that evening. Unfortunately l also had four more candidates who were due to take exams at the end of this week at a different centre but that is one of those things. I am organising my own centre for an examiner's visit in July but l am ready to postpone it if necessary.l hope you don't have to wait much longer for your results and that they are all successful. Congratulations to your son on his university place.

Hi, Herts have posted their theory exam results- we found out that DD got 92 for her grade 5. Pretty good for a just turned 12 yr old. I'm in shock as her previous best mark in practice was 82 or so. She must have taken notice of us all begging her to read and reread the questions and her answers!!

Madcats · 04/04/2020 09:20

Congratulations to mini Glitter.
It looks as if Theory emails went out on Friday.

We are at the mercy of school music admin (term finished on Wednesday, but music department hasn't been around for a fortnight- certainly hasn't set kids any work).

Enjoy the Easter hols everyone.

@Couchpotato3

Thank you. The news is still sinking in!

@Witchend

Congratulations to your DD and thanks for letting us know Smile

@Violinist64

Good luck hosting the exams yourself, I hope it can go ahead. Trinity results are obviously given out much sooner!

@Glittertwins

Congratulations to your DD, that's fantastic news!

It's exactly 5 weeks today, but still no news from the ABRSM.

Thank you, she's still grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
Fingers crossed you all get the results you want and soon.

That's lovely! Must be great to see her so happy Smile

Thank you. Mine are almost past caring now after 5 weeks and a day.

We've just got result from 6th March exam! Hopefully they're trickling through now.

MrsKypp · 15/04/2020 18:14

Congratulations to them all and a big relief for you.

@Violinist64

Thank you! Yes, absolutely. The youngest was beginning to think not hearing meant he'd failed - but it all turned out fine.

Congratulations to them!

MrsKypp · 18/04/2020 19:11

@Glittertwins

Thank you Smile

They're going to start lessons (with the same teacher) via zoom. Getting their results has given them the motivation to start up again - they haven't had lessons for some weeks now.

These music exams are a great motivator!
