Dd very wobbly over performance this week. Help !

Hello. Dd is doing her first solo violin performance in the school carol service this week and having been note perfect for weeks is now forgetting the notes, squeaking and catching the wrong strings. She's got in a right state tonight sobbing and saying she's going to get it wrong etc. Everything I say is wrong. If i say it will be fine she points out all the things she got wrong tonight. If i say no one will mind if she goes wrong then i think she will get it wrong too. Any ideas how best to deal with this ?

Exactly taggie - and he really did enjoy it the whole evening I think which is lovely for me to see . he has to play it again for one of the school assemblies today so his teachers obviously have faith in him and the more he gets used to playing in front of large audiences the less it will worry him I think and then he can just get in with enjoying performing

Congratulations mini trumpet ! Dd's performance obviously inspired her - she had a few days off and has set about learning her new piece with far more oomph than usual !

Great news didI ds is having a couple of days off and a normal social life for once !! But of course we have to take the trumpet away with us for Christmas
