DD has a place at college!!!! I am a very happy (& potentially permanently broke) mummy - I did my own little dance when I found out!

She got a place on the 3 yr diploma at Italia Conti!!

Funding (DaDA) needs to be applied for and is by no means certain, so she might not go!!

But she got a place!!! I am so, so proud!!! can you tell?

We got the uniform list for Italia Conti; I have to say even if she gets a scholarship/DaDA we will struggle to afford this

But no decisions yet

On the plus side KatyMac, hopefully she won't grow out of the uniform (but might dance through it).

Are there any generic items eg not special order colours/logos that I could try & help with.

Probably, but I'll wait to know where she is going first

She just grew out of her pointe shoes too

Noooo KatyMac. I thought I had got out of the cycle of school shoes, ballet shoes, tap shoes, character shoes, jazz shoes, trainers, ghillies, pointe shoes, soft blocks, etc etc, so I just had to buy as they wore out :(

I just drove 200 miles (round trip) to buy new pointe shoes & even with petrol I barely spent more than I did locally!!!

And they fit so much better!!!

It's worth hunting for the right pointe shoes. DD has some which fit beautifully (but still wreck her feet).

The shop lady said DD had 'lovely strong feet' but her separated toes are a bit of an issue & post fitting she is already in a better position over her toe; massive, massive success!!

Just read the thread. Well done your dd. How old is she ? I've read your threads before. You must be very proud.
