So I can do ballet very wide feet so we order the extra wide ballet shoes from London.
So again tap Blochs for very wide feet no problem.
Street and Hiphop got the converse thing sorted.
So DD is doing a new dance camp this summer Latin, Jazz, Bollywood, modern, street and Hiphop. We have been advised to buy Jazz shoes for the Latin, Bollywood and Jazz. Which brand is best for really wide feet - we are talking has to have a whole extra size in H fit shoes to accommodate these feet.

These are the ones my students wear- the slip on ones tend to be better for wide feet, they might be a bit tight the first time you wear them but they'll stretch to fit fairly quickly. All my students buy these from the dance school (we order them in) and we're yet to have a problem with fit.

I've just looked on the Dance Mania website and it looks like the bloch ones they sell on there only come in lace up- never used Bloch jazz shoes myself so I can't comment for those, but I have found in the past that lace up jazz shoes generally aren't as stretchy as the slip ons, which could be an issue for wide feet. Tap shoes are closer to actual shoes in terms of fit, so what's true of bloch tap shoes might not be true of jazz shoes, which are more of a 'sock' fit like ballet shoes. My DD is her regular shoe size in tap shoes, but a size bigger in ballet and jazz shoes. She's only 3 though!

Another option is seeing if the camp will accept foot thongs; these are designed for a barefoot feel but to allow the dancer to turn, the advantage for wide feet is that they only cover the ball of your foot so width is less of an issue. http://www.dancedirect.com/uk/Category/Footwear/Foot-Thongs-Misc/ Foot Thongs

Parajse thank you unfortunately due to very high instep combined with the wide feet slip ons of any type are a nightmare. I have ordered a pair of the Blochs as they look very similar to the lace up taps she wears.

The camp was very clear it was to be Jazz shoes I guess that is the particular teachers preference.

My students seem to have the opposite problem. Slip in ones grow at the sides. Dd has a high instep too.

Maybe it's the combination of high instep with exceptionally wide feet there just doesn't seem to be enough room inside any slip on for the width and height of foot unless we go up about three sizes and then she has clown feet. September shoe purchase with hockey boots, trainers tap shoes etc is my worst nightmare I take a whole day of and it invariably involves visiting multiple shops with many people shaking their heads and sucking their lips. So of the most awkward feet most of them have encountered sadly.

With dd it's all combined with an unusually small foot for her age. 11.5 and size 1. So when the PE teacher told her she should have lace up and not Velcro shoes I nearly flipped after visiting every sports shop in two towns and only I've grand/style fitting which don't come in laces under size 2.
