Running x 3 a week (im on week 3 of running world 5k plan)

Walking to work 3 x a week (4.4 miles)

Im desperate to get fit. On the days that I walk to work I wouldnt run on the night obv

I think you need to add some strength/core work - abs, arms, glutes, also maybe some variety - could you alternate the walking to work with cycling perhaps? And maybe a swim once a week. If you are looking to lose weight, you'll need to cut back on the calories as well.
Do you have a military style fitness session near you - they are fab at increasing your fitness quite quickly, and it is very varied to cover cardio and toning.

I have been thinking about replacing one of the running sessions with a swim instead.

nothing happened for me for a while and then i have noticed a real improvement in both fitness and firmness

this happened maybe 2 months in once i was consistently running 3k at a go, and a total of 5k per session

what has also helped improve my fitness is running up hills, do NOT do this until you are a bit more confident with your running

i am doing portion control and not nocarbing but at the same time not going carbocrazy

i run 3 times a week, sometimes 4 when i am feeling partic energetic

I'm not sure.

I agree you will need some abs work or arm work, I am running 5-6k twice a week but my stomach still looks the same (although I don't need to lose weight).

Alternate weight training with the running. It won't give you a body like Kylie's (unless you have her genes!), but it will make your body look great.

Sorry, meant to add that running will really strengthen your hamstrings, and by adding weight training into your routine then you can also strengthen your quads and your upper body and core so that you get stronger all over. This will have the added benefit of helping your running as well.
