DH is walking a marathon tomorrow for Naomi House children's hospice in Hants.

Thing is, he's done no training! He's a chef, so on his feet all day,but he gets sore legs playing golf he reckons.

I really worried he'll do himself a mischief.

I've got him some hiking socks and a snickers.

What else should he know/do?

Just seen this

How did it go? Hope he hasn't got too many blisters.

CrankyTwanky · 09/06/2010 10:09

Hi Doyouthink.

He did it, but he has masses of blisters and can hardly walk!
His hiking socks are in the bin as I couldn't get the flesh off of them!

His toes are still swolen.

Not sure what to do for him.Should he rest totaly or would gentle excersise help d'ya think?

He's back at work today.

Rest for a couple of weeks.

Stick a pin in the blisters and get the fluid out, if they tear they'll really hurt.

Compeed blister plasters are good.

Couple of weeks!?

That DIY I had planned for him will have to wait then.[grin[

His blissters have torn away, but he wears clogs at work, so no biggie, nobiggie.

Ouch! Sounds very painful.

Compeed and nice loose shoes.

Well done to him for completing it.
