if you go onthe couch potato to 5k thread the first message links to it - good luck

What nappyzone said.

Come onto the thread and do it with us, new people start all the time so it's not like we're all miles ahead, and it does encourage you to actually do it.

Cheers, will take a peek.

I've got to go invest in a (cheap) sports bra first!

yeah its great you can spend your running time imagining what your going to say about it on your next message

I've downloaded the week one podcast, so thats a start

Now I need to plan a route. I live on a busy high street so can't go that way as its full of shopping trolleys and pushchairs!

Where do you peeps jog?

I could go to the local common, but that means driving there which defeats the object somewhat!

i go on gmapspedometer and plan a little route on their - i would ocnsider personal safety because im a scaredy cat

Our common is very open and a walk through for all college and uni students so is always busy, but would rather run from home.

Will look at that place Nappy, cheers!

(Is your new name addition because you go a tad red on the cheeks when running? Hope so, as that'll be me when I start)

here it saves you driving your route to see how far you run ha ha! Yes i start red then go crimson then go even redder (if its possible) when someoen passes inthe car who i know! Following the plan is remarkable - i really cant beleie i can run for more than a minute now! Enjoy! My top tip is feed your earphone wire thrugh your top so you dont keep yanking the wire out when your arms are flapping about.

Thanks Nappy.

I'm going to get my sports bra sorted tommorrow (starting a new interest is not good when you've just been made redundant - it's gonna cost me a bomb!) and then hope to start running when I've finished all my duties at work next week.

I did not know there was a podcast! Have been counting telegraph poles, also adopting the strategy of "break into a jog whenever a car passes" in case it's someone who knows me.

(goes off to find podcast)
