Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of a cold in advance of a 10k run tomorrow?

Hi

I'm entered in a 10k run tomorrow (3 May) and I am running to raise money for Oxfam.

Unfortunately I am not feeling great - I have a cold that started with a sore throat on Monday and is now at the "green snot / stuffy head" phase.

I am keen to run tomorrow as I am determined to support Oxfam and have been dosing self on cold and flu remedies, vitamin c and echineacea and trying to rest but wondered if I could be doing anything else?

Am planning to have some v garlicy garlic bread and chilli pasta for tea and an early night and hope to wake up recovered tomorrow......

green snot is usually the end. also i gather it is below the neck stuff you don't run with, so long as your chest is ok...

Thanks fishie, my chest is fine, I am just disappointed not to be at the peak of health as am sure would enjoy it more if felt better.

Am hoping all the vit c are garlic will kill the last few bugs off.
