How many sit ups would you need to do per day to actually start to make a difference on your stomach muscles?

I'm working on my tummy as well. I always think that if you can feel good about one part of your body it really helps. Good luck!

I have a gym ball which i used as a birthing ball! can i use that for a range of exercises? For building core as well?

Has anyone used the virtualgymtv thingy that's advertised on here. It has an abs blast class that you can watch or download - it says you can PAYG for 60p per class.

I haven't tried it - but I reckon a class like that every 2nd day will show better results than if you did it un-instructed.

I think that you need to combine slow and fast reps - diff ways of working the muscle. Same as your pelvic floor exercises - 10 slow and then 10 rapid.

I can't be the only one who did pelvic floors after that post?!(ALWAYS forget them!)

In France you get physio on the health service post baby.
My physio told me it's v important to make sure your perineal muscles are strong before starting on your abs.
Apparently it's harder to solve any leaks if you make your abs too strong first.

DS3 is 11 months now and i don't have any probs with 'leakage'

I read once that britney spears did 500 a day after the birth of her first child.

500

I´m a fan of the WiiFit. I haven´t lost any weight but am more toned in general and definitely have a relatively flat stomach now. I´ve moved down about half a dress size as well. I think the emphasis on core muscles and improving posture is key to making a difference to the appearance of stomach muscles.

Well, I do 200 crunches a day minimum, often more. Combined with the exercise I do, I've lost weight, I've lost belly, but nothing is gonna shift the soft belly fat and all the loose skin. But exercising makes me feel better, at least I know I'm giving it my best shot (ave 7hrs aerobics,2 hrs run and 1 hr pole fitness per week).
