snooker exhibition matches - how do I find out about them?

I'm not expecting a flood of replies to this one...

Ds1 (7) is snooker loopy - we're going to go to the Crucible in May to watch some of the world championships but I'd love to take him to some exhibition matches - but can't find any details of any. I've googled but it all seems a bit of a mystery. He's too young to go to seedy local snooker clubs to watch games there I think. I take him every week to a cinema complex which has pool tables and he got a small table for his birthday recently, so he's playing loads but would love to go and see some matches.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks Puzzlerocks! I think we might just have to be patient and wait until the World Championships though!

dottydot, I have spoken to my snooker mad ds, who has suggested that you check out www.matchroomsport.com and then click on snooker, that has a calendar of non ranking matches but it does include top players.

Another website is www.worldsnooker.com, this has all the big events listed on the calendar.

Apparently loads goes on at Prestatyn - Pontins. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/snooker/7796421.stm

Rileysltd.com have lots of clubs around the country, they might know something about junior training or tournaments to watch.

Hope that helps!
