Has anyone seen a metal running bike that you can attach pedals to later on?

I'm sure I saw one in a catalogue but can't remember. Maybe I was dreaming!
Basically I'd like a metal running bike / lite rider / early rider that we can put pedals on at a later date.
Is there such a thing or did I imagine it?

Why not just get a small bike and take the pedals off ? It seems to have worked well for DS

Raleigh do something - a childs bike designed to have cranks and pedals removed for use as a balance bike. it does come with stabilizers and a parent handle as well! so can be seen as multi functional.
BUT its blooming heavy. having all the extra weight of chain and bottom bracket and being made of cheap steel. Also not very small- so better suited to a tall 3 or 4 yr old than a 2yr old or average 3 yr old.
Ask in local bike shop ( not toy shop) they may have one in for you to see.
Alternatively- get a proper bike as light as you can with REAL cranks and get bike shop to remove cranks and pedals( or diy if you have right tool). You need to remove crank as well as pedal to avoid crank still spinning round and catching child's foot /ankle.

we had one from toysrus but tbh, I would not recommend it. It was very complicated to put on/take off the pedals. We bought a second hand likeabike for ds rather than going to the bother of taking the pedals off again

Trek Float sounds like what you want - but not available in UK. Which is why DD doesn't have one.
