Which fitness watch for 15 year old runner? App access

Hi, my almost 15 year old would like his first watch for his running. Nothing too expensive. A lot of watches he cant access the apps until he's 16. What would you suggest? If he puts a fake birthday will his Google account know and prevent it?

garmin connect is available from age 8

Google health app allow a child account but it needs to sit under an adults account. That works with google and fitbit smartwatches
