Trainers for walking and for the gym

I love walking, mostly on pavements but craving more peace so want to get into more wooded and countryside walking. I need to replace my trainers, and ideally I'd like to be able to wear them as normal daywear too. Can you recommend me yours?
I have quite wide feet and a heel/achilles injury means that I find footwear which touches my achilles and ankle really uncomfortable, so definitely no boots.

I'm also looking for recommendations for gym trainers too, for indoor wear suitable for weights and treadmill/rowing and maybe also some dance classes.

TIA

Brooks Ghost. Can't beat them. Made with a wide toe box for neutral gait.

I only own running shoes for exercise which work for treadmill in the gym but for weights I take them off and lift in my socks - cushioning makes them too unstable. I'm not at the stage yet when I'm prepared to buy shoes just for weights.

Pp is correct - Brooks Ghost are a great start. Any traditional cushioned neutral shoe would work. Saucony Ride, Nike Pegasus, Asics Nimbus etc. Every big brand has one.

Hoka Clifton have been game changing for me.
I too have Achilles issues and these are amazing right from day one.

perfect for walking and running and I use mine for tennis too as normal tennis shoes hurt my Achilles.

Adidas ADV 2 Rapidmove.
I never believed trainers could make such a difference before.
