No not really, you’re not really jogging up and down. You might be more comfortable in a non wired bra / crop top style bra.

Depends on your bra and boob size really. You don't need a sports bra for the impact (like you do with running or something) but I find I "fall out" of the sort of bras I normally wear if I wear to pilates. I go for stretchy soft style.

I wear a sweaty Betty crop top style bra to yoga and Pilates. No sports bra required.

I need a sports bra for Pilates, not because of impact but some of the movements make me 'fall out' of normal bras. I have big boobs though (32G)

Yep I wear a sports bra as it squashes my large boobs down so they are less in the way. I’d avoid a plunge or balcony bra to prevent falling out but I’d go to a couple of classes and see how you get on before spending a fortune.
good luck with the classes too - best thing I ever did was join a Pilates class.

I wear a bra and a crop top bra over the top to prevent fall out but am a j cup so they don’t need much movement to fall out.

Please wear a sports bra. Inadequate breast support can affect core stability and balance, key elements of Pilates. There’s quite a lot of recent research into breast health and sport bras -they’re not just for running

I wear one for Pilates, but it’s only from Primark. I would be very uncomfortable in a normal bra I think.

NecklessMumster · 21/06/2026 19:34

No, im older than you, with big boobs. I wore my sports bra for the first few sessions then realised it wasn't necessary, there's v little joggling around. I do wear my more fitted bras tho as I have nearly fallen out of my more loose ones

I wear a sports bra for pilates, not because of the impact but because it has a racer back and so I don't spend the whole class pulling my bra straps back up.

humblesims · 21/06/2026 20:13

Thanks, I think I will get a cheap one for now and see how I get on. Thanks so much.

Yes, this. The one time I wore my normal bra the straps kept falling down.
