I'm another one taking a break from Caroline and doing Heather Robertson. I've almost finished her 12 week Power programme. Day 59 today was a tabata. A warm up, 6 rounds of tabata and a cool down all done in 32 minutes. I was dead afterwards, but in a good way.
Like @whatwoulddexterdo, I did a HR strength and cardio workout a while ago and was shocked at how hard the cardio felt as my overall fitness had definitely dropped. I really need cardio built into an exercise programme. I try to walk a lot but it's obviously not enough. So Power has been really good in that respect. I wouldn't have been able to do the tabata I did today a couple of months ago without taking breaks.
I am planning to go back to Caroline, but the YouTube series such as Epic Heat or Fuel. The app is not for me. I can't face workouts with endless rear delt flies or hip thrusts. I'm not dissing her because repetition is great for building muscle, but if I don't have variety I can't motivate myself and I hit a wall.
