I dieted on and off for 30 years. Nothing dramatic happened, I just stayed in it far longer than I ever expected to.
I’m not looking for ‘’advice or success stories’’. I’m curious about the quieter parts of continuing your diet, if anyone understands what i mean.
A. What did the diet feel like it was doing for you, even when your weight wasn’t changing?
B. Looking back, what parts of yourself did you ignore or override so you could tell yourself you were still trying hard enough?
C. What kept you from walking away sooner even when you knew it wasn’t really working?
