DM is in late 70s. I gave her my handweights that I wasn't using, and discovered she's been using them every day, so I then gave her the next size up, which I think was 1.5kg or 2kg.
I wasn't sure she would use it, she was a bit reticent at first saying she would do 1 repetition with it. Anyway she's now using that one, so I'm thinking if getting her a kettle bell next.
She works PT as a carer in evenings and realistically I think she will end up retiring in the next couple of years, partly as they keep cutting her hours, partly as she wants more freedom and thinks she can just about afford to retire soon.
Anyway, my only worry is that the PT job keeps her pretty active and fit.
I know she will continue to walk a lot but also think regular strength training will be a good habit, but she isn't very knowledgeable in this, so I was thinking getting some home PT sessions to give her a bit of a course.
Wondering what equipment would be deemed the essentials for home work outs?
TLDR what home strength training equipment is essential for workouts, especially someone in late 70s.
