What are some exercises that helped you through your wegovy journey

I recently started wegovy, and I was wondering if adding exercises would speed up the process of weight loss. I don't have any major mobility issues, so I am pretty much open to all kinds of exercises. I talked to shemed support and they said there would be no issues. I'd love some exercise suggestions that I could do at home. I do have a dusty yoga mat in the corner (haven't had time to exercise since my youngest). It would be great if you could suggest some simple exercise that would help me lose maximum weight in minimum time, I have around 30 mins to 1 hour a day to myself.

Adding exercise won't do anything for weight loss but it may protect you against muscle loss. Do you have any weights? You can do strength workouts at home from YouTube.

Adding exercise can really help with weight loss. I mean from a physics standpoint anything that increases your energy expenditure will help if you are in a calorie deficit. It’s just that exercise doesn’t actually burn that many calories, so it isn’t useful as a tool for weight loss on its own.. which you aren’t using it for as you are taking a GLP1 anyway.

I have lost a lot of weight in the past few years down to a smaller size/goal and I can no longer easily lose weight by cutting calories I have to exercise more at a higher intensity. For weight loss you would need to do an exercise which raised your heart rate for a consistent period of time - if you haven’t exercised in a while, this could just be walking. I absolutely 100% credit 2 years of increased intensity and distance of walking of contributing to my 5 stone weight loss.

Also good for bone density, muscle mass, mental health and cardiovascular health all this is true. Women should do a mix of mobility, cardiovascular health and strength training to stay flexible and strong as we age.

I do a mix of walking, jogging (doing c25k now) Pilates, body balance and weight training. I do a mix up of these across the whole week, at least 30 mins a day usually an hour to 90 mins.

There is an NHS exercise app that is free. Also YouTube can be helpful for free work out sessions and I did this for a long time until I joined a gym and met a PT

what do you enjoy doing
