Thinking of giving Hyrox a go - any tips?

I am reasonably fit, not an athlete but do circuit training twice a week, can run 10k at a respectable pace etc.

I am thinking of giving Hyrox a go - my gym has just started dedicated training.

Any tips for a newbie???

In my, admittedly limited, experience classes vary widely depending on the gym. I started off at Pure Gym and then moved to a local independent gym. The classes there are very different and much more focused - we don’t do each aspect of Hyrox in each class, but we also do a full set of whatever the plan is and move on at our own pace, rather than just doing a set time on each section at Pure Gym.
The track for sled pull and push was quite short at Pure Gym and they didn’t have the wall ball targets, this is more like the actual comp at my current gym.
i hear people say the running is the main thing and to practice running after training. Prior to my first Hyrox, I changed from running before strength training to running after to try to help with this.
I really enjoy Hyrox and would highly recommend it, though I could do without the burpee broad jumps!

I’m doing a doubles one in 11 weeks and although I’m fairly fit I really need to up my running. I go the gym group who do hyrox classes.
was going to really start focusing on my training but now feel like I’m getting a virus, typical!!!!

Hi, thanks - my gym is a Technofit gym with an Outrace station. It has a wall ball target, a ski erg and a sled strip although this is admittedly only 15m long.

The tip about running after training is great - also might try between stations in the gym.
