Okay background story. so I am 29 years old. I have a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old.
before the kids I got myself into very good shape, I used to lift heavy and run a lot. My weight was consistently between 10st 5- 10st 7
After my first I stopped exercising completely and lost my muscle I gained. My weight stayed around 10st 3. Then I got pregnant with my second, went up to around 11.5 stone. Then since having him the weight slid off (not BF)! I currently weigh around 9st 6.
Been to docs and they can't find anything. So I have put it down to running around after my 2 boys and working full time (i literally don't sit down or relax at all these days) Can't tell you the last time I had a lie in!
Anyway the last 3 months i've gone back to the gym, got a PT to try strengthen and get my body back to health. The other day I did my body composition. I am a little alarmed.
can anyone who's into fitness help me?
Why is my metabolic age so low?

why on earth is my trunk so muscley??

How can i get my body fat % up? i'm already eating 3x meals 2x snacks and a pudding each day and try to incorporate good fats, loads of protein, balanced carbs etc.

Would you say i'm healthy?

Is your PT concerned?? Your metabolic age is just low because your visceral fat is (Dh is the same). Sometimes those scales aren’t totally accurate. Your bmi is normal range. I wouldn’t overthink unless PT was concerned personally

We've only just started training together but on my last session he said I was strong and probably one of his strongest clients, we said mutually that my cardio ain't the best though haha! Interesting about the visceral fat, i had to just read up on that! I was worried I was underweight from having such a low body fat % and metabolic age

Why do you think your body fat is "so low"? It's just under 25% which is perfectly healthy for a woman.

Ah yes sorry @Lockdownbaby2021 I see that now.

The average 60kg woman has 18-24kg of muscle mass. I have 25kg muscle at 61kg bodyweight (and 15kg fat i.e. about 25%), I look like a fit person who lifts (which I do).

Your muscle mass reading is huge. Are you visibly very very muscular and very lean?

If the scales are accurate ( and to be honest none of them are) then it comes down to whether you feel good at that body composition or not. I think few people can maintain at that level and feel good, but some certainly can.

I am very lean, but I wouldn't say to look at very muscley. although I used to be! I definitely don't walk around with abs. I'd had to really tense my stomach to show them.
This is why I'm confused, especially my trunk muscle mass? Why is it so heavy 🤔

The scales are just giving an estimate and can be affected by lots of things. I suspect you do have a high % muscle mass (your PT said you were very strong)- maybe a combination of previous heavy lifting and good genes! But probably not as much as the estimate is suggesting.
