2 days into c25k - sore heel

Hi all
Hoping to get some encouragement here. I just started a c25k programme last week and after TWO runs I've a sore heel. I'm stretching it and icing it and not going to run till Tuesday.
I walk alot and I have run in the past but never had a sore heel. I also just got new hokas which I've been wearing this week while running.
I'm so despondent cos I was so excited to get back into it. I'm 50,if that makes a diff.
Thanks

Is it a tight Achilles tendon?

When you say sore heel, can you describe the pain a bit more specifically? Eg is it on the underside of your heel (eg where you might be landing if you're heel-striking?) or at the back where your Achilles is, as a pp said?

It's totally normal to get minor niggles when you start C25k. I think everyone does. And with brand new shoes obviously that makes it even more likely.
