Calf tear when did you walk again?

Hi,

So have managed to feck up the kids Easter break by tearing my calf (I assume as apt tomorrow).
Felt a “pop” in right calf when starting a sprint with the kids. Since then (2 days ago) I can’t weight bear on it. Can wiggle foot etc so pretty sure it’s not Achilles. Just constant severe cramp if I try to walk. No significant bruise or swelling.

I am in stress to get back to a particular activity except work so anyone who tore calf before when could you just walk without crutches? Everything online is about getting back to a sport

About a week. Still a bit of pain for about three weeks, during which I had physio, and then fine.

Thank you! A week I can deal with!

IME calf injuries can be really painful for a couple of days and then it's like nothing happened. Get lots of ice on it at very regaular intervals.

Thank you, it’s day 4 and still can’t walk so physio reckons it’s grade 2/3 and has me in a boot for a minimum of 2/3 weeks apparently but I’m hoping it’s quicker. It’s not like I’m a professional sports person
