App which records exercise classes?

My main form of exercise is classes at the gym (pilates, zumba, body pump etc).

I just wondered if there’s a good exercise app for recording these? I’d like to track how often I go, which classes I go to most often, and just generally see the pattern across the week/month to check I’m getting the right balance of cardio and resistance workouts.

Does anything like this exist? Most of the apps I’ve found seem to focus on either lifting or running which doesn’t work for me. Currently using an old school paper fitness tracker book!

I use my Apple Watch. The fitness app in there lets you track your classes, time slant doing them, average heart rate and calories burned. There’s loads of workout options. Some of them I then upload to Strava then you can edit the name of the exact class isn’t an option on Apple. You can also record straight to Strava as they also have a load of options for different types of exercise.

Hey @purplepenguindancing ,

I think the suggestion of using a fitness tracker is a good one. I have a Garmin Forerunner 965, which I love. I record every class, including pilates, yoga, power lifting, and spin. I also record other activities such as swimming and walking. If I intentionally initiate and end the activity on my watch, I will then be able to see all of my stats/ data on either my phone or laptop via the Connect App.

The attached screenshot offers 2 views of some of the data that my watch captures.

The image on the left is a snapshot of how multiple activities I've completed are recorded over a 2 day period last week. I'm not sure whether I can slice the data further, I'd have to have a little dig around.

(Nb: My Garmin account is linked to one of my fitness app subscriptions, hence why there's specific info detailing the title and instructor of some of my activities, I've not added that level of detail myself).

Garmin offers 4 pages of data for each activity that I initiate and end on my watch. The image on the right of the screenshot offers an overview of some of the info reported on the 2nd page of data....

You'll definitely be able to track your activity frequency and duration.
