There really isn’t! Mostly it’s a load of rubbish- same people everyday posting in great detail about the current workout. Using the word spicey followed by a huge amount of chilli pepper emojis 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🥵🥵🥵🥵
Any interesting discussions are shut down very quickly.
The app is even more turgid. Hence the excitement about the one poster who managed to slip through the net and call the creepy couple out.
The app is good though and worth the money- and I am mean with the money I am prepared to part with.

Hot new cgx conspiracy theory: Caroline has changed her programming to a Wednesday rest day for the first time ever because she was so sick of that silly boy posting "Happy hump day fitness friends💥" immediately under any workout posted on a Wednesday.

I definitely feel your pain there, Big Buttons. You get massively fed up when you realise you can no longer fit your favourite trousers.

Just decrease the volume on the body parts you don't want to train, I think, if you want to stop them growing. Which probably means skipping hip thrusts and glute bridges for a while as those are so glute hypertrophy focused?

Honestly just ask Ms Batts, she knows a lot even if she isn't a chartered psychologists wife😜

Yeah- I asked her she said to go more strength- heavier and fewer reps. I am going to back off completely for a bit and sub for other exercises. I know they can’t keep growing indefinitely . Is anyone old enough to remember Kenny Everett and his Rod Stewart big bum sketch?

☝Yes me! I'll be 60 this year and remember it well. Having a big arse isn't top of my priority list as it seems to be with a lot women. Maybe it's a subconscious memory of the Kenny Everett sketch!
I've just had a look at the 'people who participated' stats for Max compared to Rev, both started with around 21000 people but at Day 14 Rev still had around 13000 participants but Max only around 7000

@samthebordercollie i thought it was risky to be so experimental with a 10 week prog. Would have been better to stick to a series for sure. I also noticed that the numbers have dropped off really sharply.
i won’t be doing it tomorrow. I will do an upper body and then go back to it on Friday. 4 days on my legs is enough for me and my back doesn’t like the endless postoeror chain work.

Arf at Kenny Everett.

I did Intent Day 5 and will do Day 6 tomorrow. It's such a nice, tough program. I love the feeling that I haven't been spinning my wheels after a workout.

Max was a good notion but I don't think it was as well-executed as her other programmes. Maybe I'll change my mind. I didn't warm to PE at first.

One more thought on the Facebook group while I'm being bitchy: there was a rash of skinny girl thigh pictures being posted a few weeks ago, with twee little captions saying things like "Ooh look it's my baby quad coming through" and "Quad muscles incoming squeeee!" I had to sit on my hands not to post, "ARE THE QUAD MUSCLES IN THE ROOM WITH US?"

(Mr Psychologist hears one of his trigger words and starts chuntering, Oh my QUAD!🤣 and QUADZILLA🤣!)

I did Day 9 Of Intent today, a good solid leg workout and only one barbell and 3 dumbbells to get out (plus stability ball). Tomorrow will be Day 10 a good solid upper body workout before I go away for a week. I will revisit some Max workouts but won’t do it as a programme, although I can lift heavier because there is more rest between sets it just doesn’t feel as effective as Intent or PE. And because I run, doing legs everyday isn’t great. Not to mention all the dumbbells I need to get out!

Have settled on intent day 40- unilateral upper body- always a favourite way to work for me.
i see there are yet more bridges and high squats in today’s max. High squats irritate my back.
I am baffled by those people who go on holiday and take their weights with them. or will only book in somewhere with gym. Those people who post saying they are terrified of losing their gains if they can’t lift on holiday. Must be awful to live with that crap going on in your head.
Years ago my mum paid for me and her to go on a river cruise in France. It was lovely. But I do remember that there were two women who never left the boat and spent a lot of their time running round and round the tip deck🤷🏻‍♀️

Last year I wasn't brave enough to enter the holiday gym so decided to do a calisthenics workout in my room.
I ended up.sweating like a beast and nearly splitting myself in two when the towel I was using as a mat slid across the tiled floor.
Never again!
Went back to reading around the pool
