Recommend me a You Tube strength training programme for a summer body

I want to tone up and lose a stone. Trying to eat well and get into strength training. I’ve tried the Sydney Cummings Summertime Fine the last few days. Enjoyed it but not burnt many calories. Today’s 30 minutes showed 78 calories on my watch. Can anyone recommend something to do at home? Or should I stick with Sydney?

I used to do XHIT daily when I was bothered about being lean. It’s a good home workout, you can target which bits you want to work on and the instructors are SO full of energy. Thinking about it almost makes me want to do it again 😂

You won't lose weight except by a calorie deficit. Bursts of exercise are minimal in calorie expenditure: up the steps you walk each day to around 15,000 - that will help.

Building muscle in women takes years, not weeks.

Consistent heavy weights or resistance training, plus increased protein plus years.

And anyone who says differently eg influencers doing "beach body ready" is selling you a pup.

I think "toning up" is a lot harder than it sounds and probably takes a long time and the right combination of food & training as @LittleBigHead says but I've been doing Eleni Fit and Grow with Jo for a month or so now and feel better for it- not saying I look any better but I've trimmed a pound or two off and lost an inch from my waist.

Caroline Girvan has lots of videos of varying difficulty levels and times, available on YT.

I have been a consistent weightlifter/ gym user for years but there are occasions when getting to the gym isn't convenient, so I do one of her videos (I like her 30 min kettle bell workout). I always feel it the next day and definitely get a sweat on. At the same time, it's easy to follow and you can always pause it if you need an extra wee break :)
