Good exercise leggings!

Where can I get good exercise leggings that don’t fall down?

i bought a pair from Penneys/primark I was sooo excited for because they looked good when I tried them on, only for them to fall down throughout the day, not even when I’m running just normal every day activities :/ I had to end my workout short because I was literally running whilst holding my pants up lol

i have a pair of Victoria’s Secret leggings from USA that are perf, I wanted to avoid having to get €60 leggings lol butttttt expensive may be my only option. Is lululemon or gym+coffee any good?? Or any other brands u can recommend?

Sweaty Betty power leggings are my favourite. ££ but last, don’t fall down, don’t go thin around the bum, fully opaque, just don’t budge at all. I have so many pairs although do try and wait for a sale if you buy them!

TheChosenTwo · 25/03/2025 06:55

Oh, and they also have a side pocket that keeps your phone held tight and a small
zip pocket at the back for your key.

AMouseThereOnTheStair · 25/03/2025 06:55

I also buy sweaty Betty in the sale. Look at the Next sale now, I think it just started at the weekend.

Jshrbt · 25/03/2025 06:57

I bought some next ones for £20 and very pleased with them, didn’t want to spend loads and I’ll buy more of them

WeMeetInFairIthilien · 25/03/2025 06:58

Actually, I like the M&S Good Move leggings. There are different styles, including yoga pants, but the exercise leggings have a pocket on each leg, a little zipped pocket on the waistband, and they also have a tie in the waistband, so I can absolutely be sure they aren't coming down!

I've got patterned, reflective and cropped ones, they are also often in the M&S outlet stores with a good % off.

SydneyCarton · 25/03/2025 07:00

I have two or three pairs of M&S Goodmove leggings which have lasted ages and are still in good nick. They have a drawstring waist so no slipping, plus the thigh pocket and key pocket at the back. I think it’s a really good brand.

Sweaty Betty Power Leggings. They have a sale on at the moment. There's also ebay / Vinted. The quality is good so even 2nd hand, they hold their shape and stay up. Plus, they have a side pocket.

I have tried a lot of leggings and SB are the only ones that don't budge.

FeelinTwentySixPointTwo · 25/03/2025 08:23

Sweaty Betty Powers are the best, though they're expensive. I only ever buy them at 60% or more off! They're great for gym or everyday, though a bit warm for running in. I prefer their Zero Gravity for running.

If you don't want to spend SB money then Decathlon are the best you can get on a budget, in my experience.

Lots of people will recommend Goodmove/H&M/etc but at that price point you're much better off with Decathlon.

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 25/03/2025 08:24

You can sometimes get Sweaty Betty on a Wowcher mystery bag deal £25 including postage for 4 bottoms (leggings) or tops but you don’t know what you’re going to get. I’ve done both and they’ve been great. Sweaty Betty also had a warehouse sale last year in Harrogate from what I remember. I’ve had leggings from Primark and I think the size up so maybe a smaller
size? I’ve also had the Good move from M&S and they’ve been good.

ilovesooty · 25/03/2025 08:25

All mine are Llama leggings with the pockets.

Heidi2018 · 25/03/2025 08:26

USA Pro are good and reasonably priced!

Gliblet · 25/03/2025 08:27

I get mine from Asda - the Gym Locker ones. They're £18 a pair, have pockets (proper ones you can get your whole hand into, I was very excited) on the sides of the thighs so they don't get in the way whether you're sitting/standing/bending/running, don't slip down, and the fabric is a good weight.

notacooldad · 25/03/2025 08:30

I paid a fortune for a pair of Sweaty Betty leggings years ago, certainly when I was in a previous job, so bought them around 2015/2016.

I wear them on average 5 times a week. I use them for cycling, pilates, dog walking , gym, hill walking and archery. I have kayaked in them, worn them to work when we've taken the young people out on activities.
They are showing no signs of wear a d they don't fall down or go baggy.

I'm sure I would have paid much .ore than the initial out lay on different leggings by now if I had gone cheap.
Definitely worth the expense for the fit and quality.

happyharpy78 · 25/03/2025 08:37

Sweaty Betty definitely, I've had some of mine for years, use for the gym 5 times a week, walk in them and they are still in great condition. I tend to get mine on Vinted - usually around the £20 mark.

SunblockSue · 25/03/2025 21:31

I have just bought a pair from Bimble and Bolt. A pocket on each side, squat proof, draw string and lovely and soft. I was a sweaty Betty fan, but these are great and much cheaper but still have luxury feel.

AmateurNoun · 26/03/2025 20:39

Queenieke leggings which you can get on Amazon for about £20 a pair are really excellent. Squat proof and they don't fall down.

Sinkintotheswamp · 28/03/2025 07:21

Maybe I'm a weird shape but my sweaty Betty powers are awful. They don't stay up and the elastic in the waist doesn't anchor then in place. The side pocket is a poor design too, it's a sort of triangle shape so my phone doesn't stay snug in it. I do have athletic thighs though, trousers are the bane of my life. If they go over my thighs they are too big for my waist.

Beatzzz · 28/03/2025 07:30

I’ve found fabletics to be as good as sweaty Betty and lululemon. Sign up with a new enail
address - get two pairs for £19 I believe and then cancel the subscription straight away. I wouldn’t pay full price for them but it’s very difficult to go wrong at their new customer price! Soft, don’t roll down, squat proof.

namechanged221 · 28/03/2025 07:34

I have sweatty Betty Therma leggings for running, average buy one pair per year and do 1000's of miles in them. They're pretty indestructible and never fall down, are flattering, compressive which is great for long distance running.

Ridingthegravytrain · 28/03/2025 07:41

I find under armour, gym shark and new balance are all quite tight and stay up. I look for compression leggings as they have less chance of slipping down. Especially with a phone in the side pocket. That is SO annoying

Ridingthegravytrain · 28/03/2025 07:41

Tk maxx is good for bargain gym gear

PickleSarnie · 28/03/2025 07:45

Another vote for sweaty betty power. They are spendy but they last forever. Also, they do pretty good sales so sign up to their mailing list.

They are buttery soft, hold you in, high waisted so no muffin top, side pocket and a zip back pocket. Also squat proof so you won't be showing the gym your knickers.

WhereAreWeNow · 28/03/2025 07:45

I get Sweaty Betty ones on sale.

devildeepbluesea · 28/03/2025 07:48

I have 6 or 7 pairs of SBs and they are good. However recently I bought 2 pairs of CRZ yoga leggings which are just as good, if not better. But they don’t have the zip or side pockets. Not a prob for me, I never use them. Half the price of SBs too.
