Is there a holy grail of running leggings?
this is my wishlist:

compression fit with no sagging at the gusset!
drawstring tie
3/4 capri length

any ideas?

Ronhill are my go to and I have several pairs - full length, calf length, full length fleeced for winter, plain shorts, two layer marathon race shorts.

All of them have straw string.

Sweaty betty power leggings, available in shorts, 7/8ths and full length. I don't bother with anything else these days!

Hercisback1 · 07/03/2025 20:59

I second sweaty Betty. No drawstring but inner elastic.

💯 sweaty Betty powers or the thinner running leggings they do x

eurochick · 07/03/2025 21:06

Ronhill. Not fashionable but functional and durable.

I only wear these. They're £90 a pair but well worth it as theyre so thick, don't give you camel toe and you can't see cellulite through them. They wash really well too.

I look out for them on sale or good as new on Vinted! Now I know my size I'm happy to order blind.

Yet another vote for Sweaty Betty which do not move and are super comfy. I’ve had mine so many years that I’d forgotten about the bad old days of constantly pulling up leggings and saggy gussets!

RubberDuckyURtheone · 07/03/2025 21:22

Try innov8 - I have the full length ones but think they do shorter length, also love my ronhill but innov8 manage to also be super soft and comfortable. Love their trail shorts too.

Another vote for the fabulous Sweaty Betty Power Gym leggings. Look out for their sales.

FeelinTwentySixPointTwo · 07/03/2025 21:54

Ronhill.
Sweaty Betty Powers are great for everyday, or the gym, but are too warm to run properly in. Their thinner zero gravity ones are OK for running, but RonHill are better.

NotbloodyGivingupYet · 07/03/2025 21:58

I keep sweaty Betty for the gym.
Ronhills for running. I've got full length (one pair has zips at the ankle, love them). And two pairs of capris, prefer them to shorts in the summer. Their running socks are brilliant too.
John Lewis usually stock them.

Starlightstargazer · 08/03/2025 10:51

Thanks all! Loads to have a look at. My current ones are causing chafing with their saggy gusset!! Driving me mad pulling them up all the time!

What are the ronhils like for sizing? True to size or do they run small?

FeelinTwentySixPointTwo · 08/03/2025 18:39

I think they're true to size. I'm a size 10 in most places (though an 8 in M&S!) and need a 10 in Ronhill.

I have karrimor ones, drawstring and phone pocket. Washed and worn well for a couple of years now.
