Can you enter Parkrun anonymously?

They seem to list everyone taking part on their website. TIA

The finish times and positions need to match otherwise the finish list goes wonky! The finish time and position doesn't need a name, it will just say 'unknown' if you're not registered

If you take a finish token you do need to get it scanned, to remain anonymous you don't get your own barcode scanned. Please get your finish token scanned then drop it in the bucket (don't take it home!)

I didn't think it needed to be scanned, just taken in the finish funnel and given back

You are indeed getting muddled. If you don't have a personal barcode to scan, the finish token isn't scanned either. It will default to unknown. But yes to taking a finish token regardless, so things stay in order!
