Advice for exercise to lose tummy fat after 40

I have recently turned 40 and am keen to find an exercise regime that targets fat around my tummy area. I run regularly, but wanted to find a YouTube exercise workout (no equipment needed) to do as well. I did have a look, but there are so many, and I’d love a few recommendations. Max 20 minutes? Something I can easily do at home. Thanks in advance!

You can’t spot reduce fat in certain areas unfortunately. You can exercise the muscles in that area but unless you are losing overall body fat via general exercise and a healthy diet you won’t see any change. Best thing is to keep up the running and look at your diet.

It’s diet tbh.
I lost mine mid 40’s by losing weight generally, ditching alcohol completely and reducing sugar. Flatter tummy now than when I was slim in my 20’s & 30’s, but I had to get to the lower end of my bmi to get the results.

Thanks! I had hoped just to do more exercise, rather than changing my diet. I love food 😂! Sounds like there is no easy fix though!

You can't out run your diet. You don't need to stop eating but just make sure you are getting plenty of protein and if you drink try and reduce/stop as it's a lot of calories with no nutrition. Plus you're more likely to over eat when a bit tipsy.

Pilates is good as a strong core/good posture will help your tummy not stick out.

But yes, there is no such thing as losing weight from one spot
