Joining the gym

No excuse as there's a 24 hour gym 2 minutes away...

I run so already have clothing I can use

Trainers - can I get away with running shoes? Not the current ones I wear for running! I'll be doing classes, (yoga and pilates) rowing and bike mostly

Music - can I get away with just using my iPod? And earphones? I have tiny ears and have yet to find wireless earbuds that fit. But I think my wired earphones will just get in the way?

You do yoga & pilates in bare feet or socks so no issue with trainers! Rowing and cycling will be fine in your running trainers, the only thing I wouldn't use runners for is lifting weights as they can be a bit spongy and I find minimal shoes much better.
People wear all sorts on their ears but most use bluetooth to avoid the wire getting in the way.

You have to use earphones or headphones. No way can you just play your iPod out loud!

And we managed before wireless!

I picked up a pair of cheap over ear Bluetooth headphones from B&M for gym use, they’re not pretty but they stay on & they’re much harder to lose.

If you slot the earphone wire through your top (back or front) it tends to not get in the way so much. Then also get the excess wire into your pocket or wrapped around the phone.

Wireless is much better but that method worked for me for many years.

I had the occasional situation of catching them on something which pulled them out but not a major issue.
