When I started running my feet hurt. In everyday life too. A touch of Plantar fasciitis. I stopped wearing my old trainers to work and got newer spongier ones, and I got some new proper running shoes. I run on commons, tracks and dirt paths and things so I opted for Trail Shoes: GEL-Fujitrabuco 7. My feet haven't really hurt since.

In the early days there were a few runs I had to quit on. I didn't know why...until I checked my stats on Strava, which worked via my phone when I ran. For some reason my pace was far quicker than normal. I bought a sports watch so I could watch my pace and keep it at a reasonable level. Much easier after that.

A couple of times recently I had felt the runs had been much harder than normal. It was during a phase when I was really loving my running and only left one recovery day between runs. For the last couple of runs I made sure I gave myself 2 or 3 days off between outings and have felt things have been much easier again.

Anybody else?
