Non-chafe sports bra for longer runs

Started running last year, and I'm working my way to to 10km.

With the hotter weather and longer runs I'm sweating more, and my very old, very cheap, badly sized sports bras are chafing like fook. It looks like I've been scratched by a long nail/cat claw under my boob. If I keep this up I will get a permanent scar.

I'm going to invest in some new sports bras and get measured properly, but can anyone recommend any good brands/specific bras? I'm willing to spend a bit more to find the right one.

I don't have particularly huge boobs. I honestly haven't been measured for many many years. I would guess I'm a 34D.

I find Panache underwired sports bras are good (and last well, although I do hand wash them). They have a small hook on the back which means you can clip the straps together which takes some of the weight and helps reduce chafing. I'm a bigger cup size than you so this might not help, but I go up a back size and down a cup size so they are less tight on the band. This also means that if the chafing is bad I can fit piece of fabric under the band to absorb the sweat (I have a friend who uses a sock!) .

You can also buy sticks of anti-chafing balm (they look like a stick deodorant) to stop the chafing from happening but I don't recommend them on skin which is already sore. Running is great, but not glamorous!

Thank you. I need two, so I'll try one of each 😊😊

I'll also try the sock trick and pick up some anti-chafing gel.
