Where to buy a cheap trisuit

So in a fit of temporary insanity enthusiasm I was convinced by a friend who wanted morale support decided to do a triathlon. I'm a long-term runner. Running is a cheap hobby. Triathlon, it turns out, is not.

I generally spend, oooo, around a tenner on running shorts, usually from amazon. They do me just fine. Now I need a trisuit. I'm simply not up for spending £100 plus for something I'll only use once, but I don't want to look like a giant black tick in a nappy either. Any suggestions on where I can buy something that hits that sweet spot of not hideous/not stupidly expensive?

Thanks!

To add, I don't need anything aero. I am not (and never will be) aero. I am doing this on a mountain bike. Shaving seconds off my time is not a priority.

My priorities are:

  1. cheap
  2. not looking like a giant twat
  3. no chafing in intimate areas
  4. not transparent in sunlight/when wet
  5. preferably not pink

Thanks! Sadly the cheap ones are only available in size 6, size 18, or male. I am none of these things.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Triathlon-Tri-Compression-suit-Sundried/dp/B06X6BJP22?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1

also try Sportsshoes.com - again, the bargain ones will probably be very small or very large. Is it a pool swim so no wetsuit? If you don't want to spend a lot just pull shorts on over your swimsuit for the bike and run.

I think I got my first one (Zone 3) from eBay in the sale.

Sports Direct have some in sizes 10/12/14/16 that aren't mega expensive.

Ohhhh that's fabulous, thank you. That amazon one could be ideal.

It's a lake swim. I have a wetsuit, but it's also not til July, so I'll probably end up swimming without it.

You could try second hand - there are a few triathlon buy/swell/swap groups on facebook. I bought a Pearl Izumi trisuit for £19 on Sportpursuit a while back so that might be worth a look too.

Ebay ! I just got a 2nd hand one from there.
I have tried 2nd hand ones from Aldi & Decathlon; think the current one is from Decathlon. It's a mens medium which is perfect for me & very conveniently teen DS can use soon, too.

I tried & returned a horrible specialist women's one. It fit my hips fine but couldn't handle my big shoulders. I am wary of "women's" sports clothing now.

I'd buy just tri shorts as that's the part that makes most difference (you want a pad that dries well and doesn't get in the way when running). Then wear sports bra and running vest for the top half. Sportpursuit, sportsshoes and decathlon are all good options. I've also got some great sports kit on vinted (though would avoid used bike or tri shorts).
