Achey hamstring after gym

Had a sinus infection and had 2 weeks off all exercise. 2nd gym session back and I've been left with achey hamstrings. Pain is not one specific spot on back of upper leg and comes and goes. Soreness came on later in day, didnt notice at time of workout. Is this likely DOMS / a strain/ too much after 2 weeks off? I didnt jump straight back into my previous programme. Can I run with this ache? Many thanks!! Appreciate it's hard to diagnose over the internet but just after some pointers :)

I'd train with that. Training usually helps me, it gets more blood to the area which helps. As long as it's not getting worse or sudden sharp pains.

Thank you. Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.

I am 10 months postpartum and not used to being so fragile, but looking to air on the side of caution nowadays as my conditioning is a long way from where it used to be. Will try an easy run later :)

I hear you - I remember being post partum messing with my sense of my own body. Hope it goes ok.

I carried on going with an achy hamstring and tore it. Was on crutches for 6 weeks and took about 6 months to recover!

If you can, I would go and see a physio. He pointed out to me all the stuff I was doing wrong and exercises to sort it out. You're never the same once you've torn it so if you can afford physio I would get some!
